Daniel Sloss: X (2019)
This thing is truly spectacular writing wise, came back to see if it was as good as I remembered it was, it was.
The way that he crafts his jokes as they teeter from some pretty heavy subject matter to some more lighter subject matter is really well done but his ability to have a conversation about something super heavy while keeping the jokes still coming is truly something else, while mostly it’s his friends jokes that carry that back half as he says he doesn’t want to speak for someone else, he still has this ability as evident by Live Shows.
It’s a testament to has type of comedy that this thing works as well as it does as much as his other specials this kind of stand up special if preformed by someone else could not go well, it’s the delivery, timing, build up and routine that sell this for me as much as I assume everyone else.
