I like this movie it’s a lot of fun, it’s shot really really great, the cinematography looks spectacular, the acting is really good and well done, there are rough edges around this but overall it’s pretty fun and light if your looking for a movie to throw on that’s fun and doesn’t take itself to seriously, for a comedy though there are not a ton of jokes that hit, it’s not super funny but comedy is subjective so maybe I don’t know what I am talking about, I laughed a few times but not a whole bunch.

Anyway highly recommend it is very good worth a watch if you haven’t seen it, but it is kind of perfect for me a silly goofy movie that takes itself a bit serious but not overtly so those are kind of the perfect movies for me

 Notes below
—————————
- I love the cute and montage so energetic and the seamless transitions are great.

- I love the camera work in this movie

- that slow push in on the houses, tilt shift making them look like game pieces is so great.

- that smash cut the the chopping and pouring was good

- the spinning shot of the timer is good.

- I love the cheeses over dramatic lines of it especially with brooks character specifically

- Jesse P is killing it in his role as Gary

- I like how organically the running jokes are established

- also the cast is stacked hope cow Jefferey wright

- I like how Ryan isn’t just dumb but thst he is trying to impress everyone by appearing smart

- I really like the editing, it lingers when needed but more importantly it moves and flows together well, I look at the shot from the bathroom scene where he jump scares him with the knife to them arriving at the game table, it’s such a simple shot but it flows together so smooth.

- Rachel mcaddams kills it in this movie she really does great the bar scene is a prime example

- that static shot above the car where it is really stationary is so good ughh

- the whole bullet removing scene is so so so funny and good

- the chase scene is great!! Oh my god spectacular, the glass table bit is good

- Michael c hall!! - man it’s crazy seeing him here in this movie

- cool to see the parallels beteeen the beginning and the end.

- the ending song goes so hard.

- and seeing his set up and plan through this kind of cgi thing is pretty cool.
