I really liked this, the quiet and contemplative nature of this film was amazing, the silences that fill the film are fantastic, it's a coming of age story sure but it takes those old tired tropes of the genre and makes them something special here. this film gives me a lot of vibes of Boy form Taika Waititi
the cinematography is fantastic, the score is wonderful and pleasant to listen to, the costume and set dec is so great to look at but really where this thing shines for me is the directing and the writing, holy crap such amazing and fantastic choices we're made here, this would be front runner for best director for me at the Oscars, this is amazing, the performances Sean gets out of the actors, the way the camera moves with determination and wonder the way they are presented as well, this is a marvel of a film, the choice to have a purposeful score that only appears when needed.
tldr; dang that was emotional
