watched this cause I saw the trailer in theaters in front of the FNaF movie and thought I bet that movie has some pretty decent sound design, it looks kind of cheese and the way the monster says POLO is very funny, I'll watch it when I get a chance and here is my chance.
I appreciate this for what this is, but I wouldn't watch this again, it's kind of boring and bland and just not as interesting as the short film, which sucks because the short really does this idea justice.
this has some cool concepts and ideas that it is playing around with like fame and how that affects people, what it feels like to have things you love suddenly ripped out from under you but grappling with desperately trying to get back to how you felt before this new chapter in your life and so much more, cool stuff but ultimately falls just a little flat in delivery, the acting is kind of corny and cheesy and it's hard to tell if those are the performances which are kind of bad are the script or are the performances because it (the script) is also corny and cheesy, there are moments where characters explain where they are at right now in life and it's just them standing there, thankfully it gets a bit better towards the middle when they are having a conversation cleaning a pool but for the most part it's just people standing in an area, exposition and then some decent horror things.
where this movie really shines for me personally is with the cinematography, wow was it great! hats off to the cinematography for the film looks very cool and awesome some cool POV shots and blinking during those POV shots, has some cool and unique tracking shots like that of a pool liner being put on and overall just some very nices wides.

- the monster he is called the bloated man I guess I had to look him up looks like Fat Man from legion but shot in bts lighting,
- he looks so derpy lol that is so funny.
- POLO in the demonic voice was equally as funny.
- that car scene was pretty cool.
- I like that the pool is kind of a symbol of fame, intoxicating to an over degree
- I think I just like the make up on the murky dark dreary water, it looks super cool.
- I feel like Elliot should have been the one untangling the pool liner? would have came full circle?
- YOUR SUPPOSE TO SAY POLO! OMG THAT WAS SO FUNNY.
- so when the light turns on it connects to that spirit world luminal dark space area that is what the flickering is doing.
- the makeup on Ray looks cool.
- is it connected to the water line? like coming from the ground? did I miss that?
- what do you think they told the public about how he died?
