Dog Man (2025)

Yeah this thing is so great, so energetic and fun but also pulsatingly heart wrenching, when Lil’ Peter sees his comics left behind by the grampa I tear up every time, ugh and then when there walking back by the lake and mud and flowers god so good great use of rules of three.
Man did Pete Davidson kind of kill it in this role, understanding exactly what was expected of him, this grounded performance helps ground a movie that has hyper energy.
If anything this feels like one of the books just turned up a bit and that’s great when text like things get worse pops up on screen it’s so fun and cool, such an emphasis on style here as well that I feel doesn’t overdue the substance
I am biased in my ranking here and I am aware of that thank you.

Yeah, this, this movie is for me, it works so well. the animation, the writing, the voice work, the colors. all beautiful, it is like reading one of the books "it gets worse" and other title cards appear that was nice, just really great and fun and I am 100% biased on this movie and I am acknowledging that.
